Can Anyone Help Children With Learning Disabilities!

By: Darin Browne

As the parent of a child with learning disabilities, you often face a host of well meant advice and professional therapies, yet wind up more confused than when you started to seek the answer in the first place! Children with learning disabilities are a such an emotional, and with so many opposing opinions, which do you believe, and who can actually help your child?
Learning Disabilities can have a variety of causes, from diet, stress and chemical imbalances through to vision, hearing and perceptual difficulties. The big question is not "What's the best diagnosis," and a neat label to attach to your child, the real question is, “What can I do to help my child?”
It seems the modes of treatment for Learning Disorders are vague at best, with most practitioner more intent on giving the child a label rather than practical, easy to apply advice.
So, if you have a child who is doing poorly in school, here's some excellent news. You don't have to spend a fortune getting your child a label. You don't have to feed them drugs like Ritalin or Dexamphetamine, and, best of all, there is something positive you can do.
I have worked with children with learning difficulties for over 20 years and seen the fads come and go. I'm a Behavioral Optometrist, and I wouldn't still be in business if I didn't know something about learning disabilities.
I have long observed that almost every child who struggles with learning disabilities has greatly reduced visual skills. This includes things like eye coordination, eye movements, visualization for spelling, gross motor, fine motor, sequencing, coding and left-right awareness.
I reasoned that, if we trained these skills and improved their abilities in these essential areas, we should see children improve in their reading, writing and spelling.
The great news is, I WAS RIGHT! When I trained these basic but extremely important skills, every single child who did the tasks improved to some degree. This is not vague, it's not a scam ,this is the real truth and I see it every day.
That's why, for the first time, I am making these simple but highly effective exercises available on the internet. No hype, no BS just proven, effective therapies at a fraction of the cost you would pay to even test for the skills.
In the same way that going to football practice makes you a better footballer, so training your visual skills makes you a better reader, writer and speller.
So if you are struggling with your child, don't let them become just one of the many, neglected children with Learning Disabilities! Do something positive today, and visit Learning @ Lightspeed. It could change your child's life forever.
